Romolo Del Deo Returns to Tribeca with New Exhibition, A Touch of Time, at Gigantic NY

Tribeca, NYC – Artist Romolo Del Deo brings his new multimedia exhibition, A Touch of Time, to the showroom of Gigantic NY, on view from October 13 – November 12, 2022.

On the heels of his monumental sculpture in the Venetian Giardini, described in The Art Newspaper as among the most remarkable projects in the national pavilions at the 59th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art, A Touch of Time marks the return of the artist to the Tribeca art scene after more than 20 years. The exhibition, curated by Monica Abbatemaggio, features more than 30 new sculptures, plaster models, drawings, and video that come together to create a dialogue between the objects and the viewer, inviting touch and interaction.

“Across time, reaching out to touch bronze has always been part of our spiritual core, part of what got us here, connecting us.” – Romolo Del Deo

The exhibition marks an exciting new direction for the showroom at Gigantic NY, a two time Emmy Award-winning television and documentary film production company based in Tribeca and founded by Cheryl Horner McDonough. Gigantic NY is reimagining the space to host artists and events in order to create new creative experiences unique to the neighborhood.
