Artist 0010×0010 Explores the Intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Mental Health & Underground Culture in New Immersive Exhibition

Intelligent Artifacts 02.02 Beta features a mix of abstract video sequences, immersive soundscapes, and bold fashion and makeup statements exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, mental health, and avant-garde underground culture.
Intelligent Artifacts 02.02 Beta was created after the artist’s realization that AI (artificial intelligence) could serve as a form of self-therapy and offer a perspective on AI’s role in contemporary society, showcasing the unexpected glitches and behaviors that arise when pushing the boundaries of technology. The exhibition is deeply rooted in personal examination and how AI can play a major role in assisting people to understand their inner selves in a positive way.
The exhibition comes at a time when AI in art is being questioned and criticized, suggesting whether AI art is “real” art? The artist challenges this question and invites visitors to delve into the thought provoking and visually stunning installation that represents the new era of post-contemporary art and pushes the boundaries of what is possible with the use of AI in the art world.

About 0010×0100
0010×0010 is a Dutch-American artist who embraces the infinite possibilities of the digital realm by crafting lush, hallucinogenic installations that combine video, 3D sound, architecture, mixed media, and design to transcend the boundaries of form, leaping off the screen and into the world. Taking his name from binary code (0010×0010 meaning 2/2, his birthday) he holds the awareness that multiple realms co-exist and interact within the same space, his work bridges the digital and physical worlds to transform the way we experience and perceive the very nature of art. By abandoning the known in search of the new, he moves as a mystic, seeking knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that exist beyond rational thought.
Drawing from his personal history of bipolarity, which he sees as an “extra power,” 0010×0010 peels away the pathologization of neurodivergence and embraces its creative and life-affirming capacities — hard-won lessons gleaned from his youth. Disappearing into music, art, imagination, and creativity, he re-emerged with a newfound vision upon which he could build a future that would liberate him from the restraints and limitations of his everyday world. He began repurposing cheap audio equipment and connecting unrelated things to create early recordings and photographs — building a sound foundation of innovation, enterprise, and free thought that would guide him through life.
Renouncing restraint of any sort, 0010×0010 stands with the avant garde, positioning himself at the forefront of a revolutionary moment at the intersection of art and technology. Embracing the infinite possibilities of cutting edge new media including cryptocurrency, distributed art objects, NFTs, AI, and VR, he crafts hypnotic works that act as a portal to the sublime. Motivated by the therapeutic powers of art, 0010×0010 eschews the commodification of the form in favor of exploring the ways it can be used as a tool to transform, transmute, and reimagine existence itself.
